Co-Regulation (CORE) Lab.

We study co-regulation in romantic relationships. We study social thermoregulation. We rely on open science ideals. We collaborate with researchers around the world, but are located at the Université Grenoble Alpes.

Papers

Check out publications and/or preprints from the lab. We try to ensure all our work is available to the public, so if you can't find a paper let us know!

Open Data/Materials

To the extent possible we make materials, data, and analysis scripts publicly available on the Open Science Framework. These may be used for re-analysis or for novel hypotheses.

Lab Philosophy

Doing science is really hard. Here, we document the workflow of the lab and expectations for lab members. Includes templates for OSF projects to make open science easier.

Opportunities/Openings

We sometimes have job openings at the lab. In the meantime, if you are interested in working with us, there are various grants you can receive and where we can support you in writing. We have posted some of these below and will update as we learn about more. We work in English, but we also invite French (or other) speakers who want to improve their English.

Internships

We welcome interns from fields like psychology, computer science, statistics, or others. We currently have several students scheduled for 8-week visits.

Postdoc Grant - Marie Curie

The Marie Curie grant is an excellent opportunity for scholars outside of France wanting to come to France. Topic is flexible and various grants are available.

Postdoc Grant - Prestige

The Prestige grant is an excellent opportunity, but needs cofinancing from another source. Deadlines throughout the year

Postdoc Grant - International Agency for Research on Cancer

In our papers, we have written about links between cancer and thermoregulation. There are good reasons to suppose a link. This grant could support such research. Currently closed, but may reopen

Postdoc Grant - Fondation Fyssen

The Prestige grant is an excellent opportunity, but needs cofinancing from another source. Only open to researchers outside of France. Deadline closed for this year

Make Our Planet Great Again

Want to study thermoregulation and climate change? The French government has heavily invested in research countering climate change. Different grants available

China Scholarship Council

From China and want to come work with us in France? The CSC has various grants available for Chinese scholars

Fullbright Scholarships

US Scholar and want to come work with us in France (if only for a few months)? Fullbright has various opportunities at various level of your career

Brazilian Scholarships

Brazilian Scholar and want to come work with us in France (if only for a few months)? There are various scholarships available (and we speak some Portuguese too!)

Software Grants

We are working on developing tech (deep learning, app development. Various grants are available for this. The Catalyst grant is but one example. Get in touch to see how we can cooperate!

IDEX Grants

The Initiative d’Excellence (of which UGA is a part) offers opportunities for various strategic partners (including in Brazil, US, Canada, Japan, Singapore, Mexico, Senegal, Taiwan, and Morocco. Get in touch to explore with us

National Cancer Institute Exploratory Grant

In our papers, we have written about links between cancer and thermoregulation. There are good reasons to suppose a link. This grant could support such research.

Get in touch

If you’re interested in a position in the lab, contact us! You can work on co-regulation or social thermoregulation in combination with your own topic (e.g., computational modelling, motivation, et cetera). In your contact request, please include why you are interested in working on concepts related to thermoregulation/co-regulation. Please also include:
  • Which opportunity (e.g., grant) you’re interested in.
  • Current academic/professional status.
  • A brief statement about your commitment to open science.
